Halloween at the New Hampton Potts Point

They’re creepy and they’re kooky,
Mysterious and spooky,
They’re altogether ooky,
New Hampton Family.

It was nightmare on Bayswater Road last night when our favourite imported holiday, Halloween, rolled into town for 2016. More and more venues are putting on fun nights each year, blasting out Michael Jackson’s Thriller and other spooky tracks that make you want to get your claws out and lurk in the shadows like a sleazy wolf. Sleazy is not a word I use a lot, but as always in Sydney somehow sleaze gets a leg-up every time there is an opportunity to dress up in costume. No one’s complaining…

“I was a little more conservative, I went as a Pirate. It’s an easy costume and simply involves a hat, and accent and the occasional wink, and perhaps a parrot.”

I went parrot-less as the New Hampton in Potts Point proved yet again that the lockout laws don’t stop great businesses from succeeding as they went to town decorating their venue in cobwebs, skulls and a liquid nitrogen “Death Punch” topped with ginger beer. I only had one I promise. A great night with great people.

It’s always often a lot of fun on Halloween getting to and from venues. Here are some snaps from our Halloween.
